Changes

Today is our last lesson before we break up for easter, i will be finishing my contents page by making a few changes to the layout so it looks tidy and making sure it looks like my style model. Throughout the holidays i will take more pictures of Liam so i can improve my work, the image is the only thing i need to change on my front cover and then i am completely done with that.

Feature Article

Last lesson i copied my feature article onto photoshop and added another image of Liam to it. Ive kept the house style as the background is black and the writing red. The feature article includes an interview with the two artists and talking about how they are collaborating.

Changes

Today is our last triple lesson before we break up for Easter so i want to get as much done as possible. I will aim to finish my feature article and contents and tomorrow. I need to change the page size for my feature article and change the size and style of the font on my contents page. I will also take a better photo to replace the one i already have for my contents as i am only using the one i have at the minute so i can block where other things are going to go.

improvements and new photos

This lesson i will improve my contents page by changing the layout as at the minute it still doesnt look tidy, i will then be done with the contents and i will  make any improvements needed to my front cover and feature article. I will then take some more photos of Liam as i am pleased with the photo i have but what he is wearing doesnt fit in with the genre of the magazine, so the photo will be the same pose just a different outfit.

Contents

I have carried on producing my contents page this lesson and used Kerrang as my style model. ive played around with photo shop and tried different fonts which are appropriate for the genre. There is a few fonts that i have downloaded and tried on photoshop, i like some of them but i am going to continue to look so i can have a similar one to my style model.

Contents page

I have now started on my contents page. I have used Kerrang as my style model, Kerrang has a very busy contents, it is full of different images and text. I will also take more photos of Liam after school tomorrow as i need a clearler photo for my front cover as it would not be clear enough when it was made full size, therefore it would not be good enough for a magazine, but i will use the same pose as i think its good for the genre of the magazine as he looks like he is playing guitar and the expression on his face suggests it is a rock magazine.

Feature Article

In my feature article I have have done an iterview with the two artists and gave backround information on them. I then looked at Kerrang magazine to get ideas on what else i can write, i came across a fact file on Billie Joe which was "30 things you didnt know about Billie Joe" i used this idea for my atricle but i have said "10 things about Liam Lovato that you didnt know"

Front cover improvements

I spent last lesson improving my front cover and i am much happier with it now. Although, i need to take another photo similar to the one i already have, i just need better lighting as the one i have currently is too bright so the Liam's skin looks a yellow colour. I also got my results back on Thursday and i got a C in the exam which i am happy with. Im aiming to boost my grade with my practical work.

I was going to use this photo in my feature article but im going to take more photos so i can try and improve it.

Front cover review

I videoed my friend Jen earlier in my free lesson. she done a short review on my front cover. She mentioned things such as the colours, the fonts and the syle.
